Places we go

On August 7, 2024 Mentoring Male Teens in the Hood visited Ravens Training Camp in Owings Mills, Maryland. They watched some of their favorite players and dreamed about one day becoming a professional athlete.

In July 2024 we visited Camp Lett’s and had a great time. Our kings rowed in canoes out to an island and back, put on harnesses and climbed the high ropes which builds confidence, and did paintball. Everyone had a great time, team building took place, and more of our kings conquered their fears.

The mentoring program also visited Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.”s church and home while in Alabama.

We also visited the National Memorial for Peace and Justice. The Kings read the captions so they could get a picture of what happened and the suffering that took place.

Our final tour on June 15, 2024 was to the Freedom Monument Statue Park. Tens of thousands of enslaved people were trafficked and as we walked through the park, the Kings received a unique view into the lives of enslaved people.
