On June 20-23th, Mentoring Male Teens in the Hood Teens traveled to Memphis, Tennessee. The Kings visited the following on their trip: National Civil Rights Museum, Lane College, Beale Street, I am a man Plaza, Slave Haven Museum, and the STAX Museum.

The teens visited the historic Beale Street, I am a man Plaza, Slave Haven Museum, and the STAX Museum. Many Black artists depended on STAX records for their start in music.
Slave Haven Museum is the site where slaves hid trying to get away. The Kings learned about Libations and paying respect to the elders that have died already. The woman depicted was Harriet Tubman.
